Nissei Week festivities culminate on Sunday, August 19, with the annual Taiko Gathering – an entire day of taiko drumming featuring groups from around Southern California. We will start the day with our unique Mochitsuki performance, and the mochi will be served following our show. So bring the family to the JACCC Plaza to enjoy the energetic sounds of taiko. You might even get a chance to help us pound the mochi to make it extra special!

California State Assembly Member Chris Holden hosts the annual block party. Come discuss legislative and community issues while enjoying live music, a classic car show, game trucks and much more! Information on local and state resources will also be available. A brief community recognition program starts at noon so please give yourself time to drive and park, bike, walk, or ride public transportation.

Join us in Chinatown as we help celebrate the Year of the Dog! We’ll be performing on the main stage on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. as part of the 40th Annual Firecracker Festival.

Join Kodama and a variety of other Southern California groups for a day of nothing but taiko! Kodama will take the stage at 10:30 am. Hope to see you there!

Pasadena Assembly Member Chris Holden hosts the 18th Annual Block Party and Resource Fair on Saturday, August 5, on the 500 block of Jackson Street in Pasadena. Kodama will be playing at 11:30 am to open the festivities. This is a family event with free food, games and rides for children. Hope to see you there!
